Previously, Laura worked for technology companies as well as government agencies in North America, Europe and Asia . Her corporate experience includes RSA, Brooks Automation, Cygnus Business Media, Matrox, Mettler Toledo, and a division of Hewlett Packard. She worked for Government of Alberta, Canada and the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, to help expand the role of technology in economic development. Currently, Laura is also the program director for the Executive Security Action Forum (ESAF), an industry association of CISOs and other senior executives responsible for protecting information from Global 1000 companies and government.

Laura has spoken and written widely on the topics of information security and compliance, and she has authored and contributed to several industry standards and best practice frameworks. Laura holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in economics and marketing.
